After volunteering to help her small group "bond" I was pleasantly surprised at how excited Lillian and her small group were. We had a lot of fun at Renaissance on a Sunday afternoon. Upon seeing this photo, Anna's roommates replied "WOW!" I would have to agree. I really love how this came out - it was the culmination of many lucky occurances: insisting that Anna wear a white shirt, a breeze coming through at just the right moment and she happened to glance upward a moment before, allowing me to catch notice of her long eyelashes. What I love the most though? The gleam in her eyes.
I've been itching to go to Norcal lately, so as I was thinking about what to blog, this picture stood out to me. Back in 2004, I traveled to Norcal on my own to visit with friends for a few days - I went EVERYWHERE: Berkley, SF, San Jose, Mountain View, Castro Valley, etc. and it was one of the best trips because I spent so much time with loved ones. Another memorial thing about this trip was that it was my first trip with MY OWN digital camera. Believe it or not, I took this photo with a Canon Powershot A400. I laugh about how obsolete that camera must be now, but man I was inspired!
